About the role#
As a Process Technical Services student, you will join the East Saint John Area Team. This team manages the daily operations of the Canaport and Mispec Marine Terminals. You will work onsite at the terminal alongside the Area Contact Engineer. This role involves both field and office tasks to provide exposure to terminal operations.
What you'll do#
- Attend operations meetings and provide updates to your team.
- Perform process trending, troubleshooting, and data analysis.
- Complete monthly reports and handle environmental or operational reporting tasks.
- Manage the change management process and keep documentation up to date.
- Monitor water quality and conduct bioassays for containment ponds.
- Track the efficiency of Vapor Recovery Units (VRU).
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Mechanical or Chemical Engineering degree program, completing your 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of study.
- A safety-first mindset.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work well in a team and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel.
- A valid Canadian driver’s license.

- Location: Saint John, New Brunswick.
- Modality: On-site.
- Employment: Full time.
- Compensation: Weekly salary is $890 for a 1st term, $980 for a 2nd term, and $1075 for 3rd or additional terms.
