About the role#
As an Enterprise Architecture student, you will join the Technology Architecture and Modernization team at our home office in Saint John, New Brunswick. Your work helps the organization understand and document its technology environment so that leadership can make informed business and technology decisions. You will gain a practical understanding of how business processes, data flows, and system integrations fit together across the company.
What you'll do#
- Capture and document current-state architecture information in the Enterprise Architecture repository.
- Review and update application records, including ownership, business usage, lifecycle dates, contract details, and costs.
- Map relationships and dependencies between applications, integrations, data flows, and technology components.
- Create and maintain architecture diagrams, application views, and repository reports using approved tools.
- Validate architecture data with application owners, project teams, and other technology stakeholders.
- Align architecture records with initiative timelines, such as system decommissioning, replacement solutions, and data archiving.
- Participate in team discussions to build context and verify documentation accuracy.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Technology Management, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field. We prefer students entering their 3rd or final year of study.
- Familiarity with diagramming, data analysis, or documentation tools like Visio, Lucidchart, draw.io, Excel, or Power BI.
- An interest in enterprise architecture, application portfolios, technology lifecycle management, data flows, or system integrations.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify relationships, dependencies, and gaps in information.
- A detail-oriented approach to working with structured information.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- The ability to follow documentation standards, templates, and data quality expectations.

- This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in Saint John, New Brunswick.
- The role follows a rolling term structure.
