About the role#
As a Payroll & Total Rewards Co-op Student, you will support the execution of initiatives within the payroll and total rewards space. You will work with a team of over 20 members to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time while managing benefits, compensation, and pensions. This role involves maintaining compliance with legislation and delivering programs that support the employee experience.
What you'll do#
- Create and refresh policies related to payroll and total rewards.
- Assist with compliance reviews and help develop an annual compliance calendar.
- Manage documents and work with the HR Records site.
- Research, develop, and document payroll and total rewards procedures.
- Assist with presentations, reporting, and Excel-based analysis.
- Provide general support for benefits administration.
- Contribute to ad hoc project work as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Business Administration program.
- Completion of at least one year of post-secondary education, with plans to return to school.
- A strong interest in Human Resources.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a focus on Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in administrative tasks.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.

- Compensation: Weekly salary is $795 for a first term, $875 for a second term, and $960 for a third or subsequent term.
