About the role#
This is a full-time student position with the Development Operations team at Canadian Natural Resources Limited. You will work on the planning and execution of oil and gas pipeline and facility projects. This role is based at the head office in Calgary and requires an on-site presence.
What you'll do#
- Support the engineering team with project design, documentation, and scope of work.
- Review pipeline records, system details, and ongoing operations.
- Gain exposure to pipeline and wellsite construction, including inline inspections, free standing liners, and composite pipelines.
- Analyze historical cost data to create accurate cost estimates.
- Prepare and distribute RFP packages for pipeline and wellsite projects and award contracts to successful proponents.
- Use industry software such as Maximo, Abadata, Accumap, Cambio, Aucerna, and Tableau.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of an engineering degree program.
- Preferred disciplines include Chemical, Process, Mechanical, Energy, and Petroleum/Oil & Gas.
- A valid Class 5 Alberta driver license or equivalent.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities while working collaboratively.
Location & details#
- Location: Calgary, Alberta.
- Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day.
- Term availability: Winter, Summer, or Fall 2027.
- Term duration: 4, 8, or 12 months.
- This is a paid, safety-sensitive position.
