About the role#
The Operations Intern supports the team in Silver Spring, Maryland, to maintain a functional and compliant office environment. This role assists with administrative, logistics, and procurement tasks that support staff, clients, and partners. This is an unpaid internship for the Fall 2026 semester.
What you'll do#
- Manage and maintain digital and physical files for office inventory.
- Track and report on office inventory, including contributions in-kind and procured items.
- Assist with the inventory of IT equipment and office supplies.
- Support on-site and off-site storage needs.
- Provide front desk support to ensure the smooth functioning of office infrastructure.
- Help plan and coordinate office meetings and events.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program, or graduation within the last 12 months.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Interest in logistics, procurement, or IT.
- A self-starter mindset with the ability to follow through on tasks.
Location & details#
- Location: Silver Spring, Maryland.
- Modality: This is an on-site position.
- Commitment: Minimum of 15 hours per week (up to 24 hours per week).
- Term: Fall 2026 (September through December).
- Orientation: Mandatory in-person orientation on September 7, 2026.
