About the role#
As an FP&A Intern, you will work on projects that influence how we operate. This role involves regular communication with stakeholders across Canada. You will gain experience in financial planning while contributing to our strategic goals.
What you'll do#
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning to guide strategic decisions.
- Perform variance analysis and financial modeling to evaluate performance and risks.
- Develop and automate KPI dashboards and financial reports using Power BI and Excel.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all reporting and analytics.
- Identify process improvements and implement automation to enhance efficiency.
- Contribute to the shift toward driver-based planning and AI-powered forecasting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial insights with operational goals.
- Translate complex financial data into actionable business recommendations.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, business administration, or a related field.
- Strong intent to pursue a CPA designation.
- Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and financial modeling.
- Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Ability to create insightful reports from large datasets.
- Strong analytical skills and a problem-solving mindset.
- Strong collaboration, communication, and presentation skills.
- Experience with ERP systems, AI-driven analytics, and coding for analytics is considered an asset.
