About the role#
Intel is looking for an AI Infrastructure Solution Architect Intern to join the AI Platforms team. You will work with engineers to support AI accelerator platforms, cluster deployments, system validation, and AI workload benchmarking. This role offers experience in AI infrastructure, system software, cluster operations, firmware debugging, and end-to-end AI solution development.
What you'll do#
- Deploy and validate AI accelerator systems and multi-node AI clusters.
- Support cluster bring-up, including system provisioning, software installation, and health checks.
- Run performance benchmarks and collect system telemetry.
- Troubleshoot system, networking, and software issues in AI environments.
- Analyze hardware, firmware, driver, and software logs to identify failures.
- Validate BIOS, firmware, and system software configurations.
- Develop test plans and automated validation workflows.
- Investigate the root cause of system performance and stability issues.
- Deploy and evaluate AI models using frameworks like PyTorch and vLLM.
- Identify performance bottlenecks in AI workloads.
- Reproduce customer-reported issues in lab environments.
- Develop Python-based tools for testing, monitoring, and data collection.
- Create dashboards, scripts, and utilities for cluster management.
- Contribute to documentation, runbooks, and technical knowledge bases.
- Build end-to-end AI solutions and work with cross-functional teams to integrate hardware, software, and models.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Python programming.
- Familiarity with Linux command line and system administration.
- Understanding of computer architecture, operating systems, networking, or distributed systems.
- Ability to solve complex technical problems and work independently within a team.
- Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
- Experience with C/C++, Bash, Git, or Docker.
- Familiarity with AI frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Knowledge of LLMs, RAG, agentic AI, or generative AI applications.
- Experience with cloud or cluster computing and GPU or AI accelerator technologies.
- Project experience in areas such as robotics, autonomous systems, computer vision, or high-performance computing.
