    About the role#

    As a Silicon Hardware Engineering intern, you will contribute to the design, build, test, and analysis of technologies at the core of Intel processors and platforms. You will work alongside technical leaders to solve challenges in the semiconductor space. This internship provides exposure to the full technology lifecycle, from research and design to manufacturing and deployment.

    What you'll do#

    • Work on tasks including silicon architecture, circuit design, logic, layout, physical design, verification, validation, and debug.
    • Use scripting, data analysis, and hardware validation methods to solve technical problems.
    • Collaborate across silicon, product, and manufacturing teams.
    • Contribute to innovations in processors, GPUs, SoCs, photonics, and validation systems.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently pursuing a Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related STEM field.
    • At least 3 months of experience gained through coursework, academic projects, research, internships, co-ops, student organizations, or assistantships.
    • Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
    • A GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.

    • Locations: Hillsboro, Oregon; Folsom, California; Santa Clara, California; Austin, Texas; Phoenix, Arizona.
    • Terms: Spring 2027 and Summer 2027.
    • Modality: On-site.
    • Employment type: Full-time paid internship.
    • Note: This position is not eligible for employment-based visa sponsorship.
