About the role#
This is a 6-month internship with the SABRE Process Development team in Tualatin, Oregon. You will help shape the next generation of semiconductor electroplating equipment. The internship is scheduled to start in January 2027.
What you'll do#
Your work focuses on applying engineering principles, data analytics, machine learning, and automation to improve tool performance. You will contribute to:
- Tool design concepts
- Experimental data analysis
- Predictive modeling and digital twins
- Machine vision and sensor integration
- AI-driven process optimization
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of an MS or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Robotics, or a related field.
- Strong engineering fundamentals and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Python, data analytics, machine learning, or computer vision.
- Interest in semiconductor equipment, automation, control systems, or digital twins.
- Ability to work across hardware, software, and process disciplines.
