About the role#
This is a 6-month internship with the SABRE Process Development team in Tualatin, Oregon. You will help develop the next generation of semiconductor electroplating equipment. The internship is scheduled to start in January 2027.
What you'll do#
Your work focuses on applying engineering principles, data analytics, machine learning, and automation to improve tool performance. You will contribute to projects that include:
- Tool design concepts
- Experimental data analysis
- Predictive modeling
- Digital twins development
- Machine vision implementation
- Sensor integration
- AI-driven process optimization
What you'll need#
We are looking for candidates pursuing an MS or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Robotics, or a related field. You should have strong engineering fundamentals and the ability to solve complex problems. We value experience with Python, data analytics, machine learning, or computer vision. You should also have an interest in semiconductor equipment, automation, control systems, or digital twins, and the ability to work across hardware, software, and process disciplines.

This position is based on-site in Tualatin, Oregon. It is a full-time, paid internship for Winter 2027.
