About the role#
As a Physical Design Engineering Graduate Intern, you will contribute to the physical implementation of silicon designs. You will work on creating manufacturing-ready solutions by supporting the physical design process. This role involves hands-on tasks and projects that align with broader engineering goals.
What you'll do#
- Support physical design implementation tasks including synthesis, place and route, and integration.
- Conduct timing analysis and clocking to help optimize design performance.
- Assist in verification and signoff activities to ensure manufacturability and compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve design scalability and automation.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- You have academic projects, coursework, or research experience in digital integrated circuit design and VLSI physical design.
- You possess fundamental knowledge of logic synthesis, place and route, and static timing analysis.
- You have experience with scripting or programming languages such as Perl, Tcl, or Python.
- You understand semiconductor design flows and ASIC/SoC implementation concepts.
- Familiarity with EDA tools and low-power design techniques is preferred.
