About the role#
As an Intern Cybersecurity Specialist, you will work with experienced professionals to help organizations protect critical systems and strengthen cyber resilience. You will gain hands-on experience with enterprise security solutions, threat detection, and security monitoring. This internship provides exposure to modern security technologies, Artificial Intelligence, and industry practices used to secure business operations. You will participate in project meetings, workshops, and professional development sessions to build your consulting and teamwork skills.
What you'll do#
- Support cybersecurity initiatives focused on security operations, governance, risk management, compliance, and resilience.
- Assist with analyzing security requirements, documenting processes, and supporting risk management assessments.
- Contribute to security monitoring, vulnerability management, incident response, and identity and access management tasks.
- Analyze security events and operational data to identify trends and provide recommendations for client security outcomes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gain exposure to enterprise security platforms and cloud technologies.
- Assist with testing and validating cybersecurity solutions to protect critical business information.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- A basic understanding of cybersecurity principles, networking, operating systems, and security best practices.
- Exposure to cybersecurity concepts through coursework, academic projects, labs, cyber competitions, student organizations, research, or personal learning.
- Interest in cybersecurity operations, cloud security, Artificial Intelligence, and digital business solutions.
- Awareness of how emerging technologies like Artificial Intelligence and automation transform enterprise operations.
- Demonstrated application of technical or analytical skills and an ability to collaborate effectively with teammates.
