About the role#
We are looking for an IT Intern to join our team in Billings. This position offers hands-on experience with a variety of IT tasks and technologies. You will work on hardware configurations, helpdesk support, and system deployments while gaining exposure to real-world IT operations.
What you'll do#
- Configure hardware such as desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
- Provide basic helpdesk support to staff for hardware and software issues.
- Assist with onsite installations of hardware and software.
- Help set up, test, and deploy IT systems and devices.
- Document processes and test new technologies as part of IT projects.
- Perform routine IT tasks to keep operations running smoothly.
- Work with the team to identify and implement system improvements.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware and software.
- Familiarity with Windows, macOS, or Linux.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot common IT issues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
- Valid driver license, insurance, and reliable transportation.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Preferred: 1+ years of experience in desktop support or customer service.
- Preferred: 1 year of experience in a production IT environment, ideally across multiple sites.
