About the role#
As an Intern Application Developer, you will join cross-functional teams to help clients navigate their hybrid cloud and AI journeys. You will gain professional experience by contributing to the full product delivery life cycle, from defining technical specifications to deploying scalable code. This internship is a full-time, paid position based in New York for the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with teams to define technical requirements and specifications.
- Document design decisions to ensure clarity across the project team.
- Develop scalable, reusable code and participate in code review processes.
- Engage in full-stack, cloud-native development.
- Use design thinking to create products that prioritize performance, security, and user experience.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or Business Administration with a record of academic success.
- Experience working within an Agile team structure, including familiarity with sprints and backlogs.
- Ability to manage workloads in an agile environment, adapt to shifting priorities, and take ownership of tasks.
- Strong interpersonal skills, leadership experience, and the ability to communicate through active listening.
- Exposure to JavaScript and at least one of the following: Java, C++, Python, Scala, R, SAS, SQL, HTML, SPSS, VBA, or Tableau.
- Familiarity with relational databases, systems design, and cloud basics.
- Knowledge or interest in database development, container technology, web services, API integration, and generative AI.
- Exposure to tools such as SQL/PLSQL, REST/SOAP APIs, and data visualization software like Power BI or Tableau.
