About the role#
As a Portfolio Development intern at IBM Ventures, you will partner with entrepreneurs to grow their companies. You will serve as a connector and strategist, helping founders navigate IBM and build traction with enterprise customers. This role focuses on post-investment value creation and driving strategic partnerships.
What you'll do#
- Build relationships with founders to help them navigate IBM technology, resources, and teams.
- Identify and set up collaboration opportunities between portfolio companies, IBM business units, and enterprise customers.
- Plan and support events, workshops, and ecosystem engagements.
- Support press, content, and visibility efforts such as announcements and digital presence.
- Develop and manage programs including mentorship networks, partner offers, and technology benefits.
What you'll need#
- Ability to communicate clearly, listen actively, and contribute to shared goals.
- Accountability and a bias toward action to follow through on commitments.
- Respect for diverse perspectives and the ability to adapt to change and exchange feedback.
- Current enrollment in a degree program such as Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, or Finance.
