About the role#
Innovative Defense Technologies is hiring a Software Systems Engineer Intern to join the Missile Defense team. You will work on-site at one of our offices in Arlington, Virginia, San Diego, California, or Mount Laurel, New Jersey. This is a paid, full-time internship with a rolling start date.
What you'll do#
You will support projects for the Missile Defense team. Your daily work involves using model-based systems engineering (MBSE) and software automation. You will also apply AI-driven capabilities to help improve defense systems.
What you'll need#
- You must be able to obtain and maintain an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
- We are looking for students pursuing degrees in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.

- Locations: Arlington, VA; San Diego, CA; or Mount Laurel, NJ.
- Work modality: This is an on-site position.
- Compensation: $28 to $34 per hour.
