About the role#
IBM is looking for an AI/ML Engineer Intern to join the AI/ML Center of Excellence team at the Silicon Valley Lab. You will work with product teams to add new AI and machine learning features to the IBM Automation portfolio. This role focuses on the practical application of Large Language Models and requires a strong technical foundation in machine learning.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with product teams to implement AI and ML capabilities.
- Lead data collection efforts for the training and evaluation of Large Language Models.
- Integrate LLM technologies into new and existing products.
- Define and establish best practices for how product teams implement AI and ML features.
What you'll need#
- A pending bachelor's, master's, or higher degree in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Python and familiarity with frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX.
- Experience with data processing pipelines and large datasets.
- Knowledge of NLP, model evaluation, and algorithm design.
- Understanding of transformer architectures, attention mechanisms, and prompt engineering.
- Experience with vector databases, embedding technologies, and model serving frameworks like TensorRT, ONNX, or TorchServe.
- Familiarity with MLOps tools for model deployment and monitoring.
