About the role#
This is a 12-week paid summer internship for 2027. You will work with our teams to optimize the Agentic AI ecosystem for edge devices. The focus is on improving AI model performance, efficiency, and responsiveness on resource-constrained hardware. You will bridge the gap between software engineering, machine learning, and system design.
What you'll do#
- Optimize AI inference workflows for edge-device environments.
- Analyze latency, memory usage, computational efficiency, and model performance.
- Identify bottlenecks within agentic AI architectures.
- Develop and test software prototypes and optimization approaches.
- Support the integration of AI models and agents with edge hardware.
- Document findings, technical designs, and performance recommendations.
- Collaborate with software, hardware, AI, and strategy stakeholders.
- Use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding, testing, and debugging.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related technical discipline.
- No more than 24 months of prior work experience professionally related to this role.
- Ability to obtain work authorization in the United States in 2027 without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
- Knowledge of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and agentic AI.
- Coding and software development skills.
- Experience with AI inference, performance optimization, and edge-computing concepts.
- Proficiency with AI development tools such as Codex, Copilot, and Claude.
- Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
