About the role#
As an AI & Automation Data Scientist Intern, you will join a consulting team to solve enterprise-scale problems. You will work alongside partners, product managers, architects, and software engineers to conceptualize, develop, and deploy machine learning solutions. This role focuses on generating value for external client engagements and internal initiatives using cloud-based data science technologies.
What you'll do#

- Collaborate with a cross-functional team to solve complex, enterprise-scale problems.
- Use data science technologies on cloud platforms to drive outcomes for customers.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a full-time student in an eligible post-secondary program, pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree.
- Must be able to return to full-time studies upon completion of the work term.
- Minimum of one previous work term in a data science or machine learning role.
- Demonstrated familiarity with machine learning, statistical analysis, or data mining.
- Experience with scripting languages, preferably Python.
- Proficiency with Python data science libraries such as scikit-learn, SciPy, pandas, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.
- Hands-on experience with GenAI and Agentic AI frameworks, including knowledge of LLM concepts like RAG and prompt engineering.
- Familiarity with databases and data-engineering tools like SQL and Spark.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as IBM Cloud, Azure, or AWS.
- Ability to communicate ideas effectively to peers and managers.

- Term: Winter 2027 (4-month term starting in January 2027).
- Modality: Hybrid.
