About the role#
This remote, part-time internship provides hands-on experience in quantitative healthcare research. You will focus on pharmacy outcomes and policy, working within a multi-disciplinary team. The program lasts 16 to 20 weeks, beginning in November 2026. You will contribute to real-world evidence studies covering areas like comparative effectiveness, medication access, healthcare costs, and benefit design.
What you'll do#
- Participate in study teams and support research activities.
- Contribute to study conceptualization, literature reviews, and proposal writing.
- Assist with study protocol development.
- Execute statistical analysis under the supervision of experienced research scientists.
- Interpret and report research results.
- Contribute to the development of manuscripts.
- Synthesize and present findings to internal stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a final-year PhD or recently completed a PhD in pharmacy, outcomes research, epidemiology, pharmacoepidemiology, health economics, public health, or health services research.
- Knowledge of quantitative health outcomes research, analytics, and statistical techniques.
- Understanding of causal inference methods or relevant coursework in quasi-experimental methods.
- Proficiency in at least one statistical coding language.
- Experience working collaboratively on research teams.
- Ability to commit to part-time employment for the duration of the program.
- Interest in a career in healthcare research.
- Experience using R or SAS for data management and statistical analysis is preferred.
- Experience with real-world data sources for observational studies is preferred.
- Experience in scientific writing or manuscript authorship is preferred.
Location & details#
- This is a remote position.
- The internship runs from November 2026 through February or March 2027.
- Occasional travel to company offices for training or meetings may be required.
- A dedicated workspace is required to protect member information.
- Reliable internet service with a minimum download speed of 25 Mbps and upload speed of 10 Mbps is required.
