About the role#
Humana invites students currently enrolled in an MBA or advanced professional degree program to join the Summer 2027 Internship Program. This 12-week experience offers exposure to enterprise-level work and engagement with executive leaders. Interns work across various strategic areas, including pharmacy operations, consumer product enablement, corporate strategy, insurance product solutions, and value-based care.
What you'll do#
- Translate business priorities into action through strategic planning and business case development.
- Coordinate across functional teams to support portfolio execution and organizational transformation.
- Perform data-informed decision-making and process improvement to drive efficiency.
- Contribute to initiatives that deliver greater value to the organization.
- Engage with leadership through networking and project presentations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an MBA or advanced professional degree program, such as an MPH, JD, or PhD, with an expected graduation in 2028.
- At least three years of professional experience completed prior to starting graduate school.
- Demonstrated leadership through academic, professional, military, or extracurricular activities.
- Ability to work full time, 40 hours per week, from May 24, 2027, through August 13, 2027.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, full-time, hybrid internship.
- Interns must work in-person 3-4 days per week.
- Available locations include Louisville, KY; Fort Lauderdale, FL; Chicago, IL; Arlington, VA; New York, NY; and Nashville, TN.
