About the role#
Humana invites MBA and other advanced-degree students to join our Summer 2027 Internship Program. This 12-week, full-time program offers the opportunity to contribute to enterprise-level work across various business functions. You will engage with executive leaders and develop skills to support a career in healthcare. Interns work on projects related to strategy, consumer experience, digital innovation, and business development.
What you'll do#
- Translate business priorities into action through strategic planning.
- Perform cross-functional coordination and business case development.
- Contribute to product and digital innovation.
- Execute process improvement and transformation support.
- Enhance customer and member experience.
- Work on initiatives such as supplemental benefits strategy, pharmacy marketing, CRM redesign, and go-to-market strategy.
- Improve efficiency and deliver value for members and the business.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an MBA or other advanced professional degree program, with an expected graduation in spring or summer 2028.
- Minimum of three years of professional experience completed before beginning graduate school.
- Demonstrated leadership through professional, academic, military, or extracurricular experiences.
- Ability to structure ambiguous problems and evaluate information.
- Ability to translate insights into data-informed recommendations.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and prioritize effectively.
- Relationship-building and collaboration skills.
- Interest in the healthcare landscape.
- Must not require sponsorship to work in the United States.

- Term: Summer 2027 (May 24, 2027, through August 13, 2027).
- Work Modality: Hybrid (In-person 3-4 days per week).
- Locations: Louisville, KY; Arlington, VA; Fort Lauderdale, FL; Chicago, IL; New York, NY; Nashville, TN; or Boston, MA.
