The Hudson Institute is seeking a Legal Intern for the Forum for Intellectual Property for the Fall 2026 term. This role focuses on intellectual property, antitrust, and Internet law. Interns will gain exposure to critical policy issues and engage in discussions with subject matter experts. This is an unpaid, volunteer research position.
What you'll do#
- Conduct research for reports and articles.
- Draft the monthly IP Forum newsletters.
- Prepare briefing memos to keep the team updated on current events.
- Assist experts with research projects, presentations, and writing.
- Provide administrative support and assist with event coordination.
What you'll need#
- Recent graduates or current law students with an interest in intellectual property law and innovation policy.
- Previous experience in IP law is preferred.
- Strong research, writing, editing, and analysis skills.
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
- A detail-focused, reliable, and professional approach to work.

- Location: Washington, DC (Hybrid).
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Work Modality: Hybrid (candidates should specify their preference for in-person or remote work in their application).
- Status: Unpaid internship.
