About the role#
The Political-Military Analysis department at Hudson Institute is seeking interns to support research on the security implications of the relationship between Russia and China. This role involves working closely with experts to discuss critical policy issues and contribute to ongoing projects. Interns will gain exposure to the think tank environment through research tasks, administrative support, and opportunities to attend public and internal events.
What you'll do#
- Conduct open-source research for reports and articles.
- Write literature reviews based on gathered sources.
- Assist experts with research projects, presentations, briefing memos, and op-eds.
- Keep the team updated on relevant current events.
- Provide administrative support and assist with event coordination.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a degree program in political science, international relations, economics, security studies, military studies, or a related field.
- Demonstrated interest in military operations, strategy, and Russia-China relations.
- Strong research, writing, editing, and analysis skills.
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Professionalism, reliability, and strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Russian language capabilities are highly preferred.

- Modality: Hybrid or remote work options are available.
- Term: Fall 2026 (August 24 to December 4).
- Compensation: This is an unpaid, volunteer research position.
