About the role#
We are looking for an Engineering Intern to join our plant in Brea, California. This role focuses on Continuous Improvement initiatives and supports our engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams.
What you'll do#
- Drive Continuous Improvement efforts across the shop floor with a specific focus on 5S.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to reach department goals.
- Work directly with the hourly workforce to identify safety risks and develop solutions.
- Take direction from the engineering team to complete various projects as needed.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field at an accredited institution.
- Completed at least Sophomore level coursework.
- Active student status with proof of enrollment.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States (visa sponsorship is not available).
- Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Strong verbal, written, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work effectively in both team settings and independently.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Previous internship, work, or research experience is a plus.
