About the role#
Join DUAL North America as an Underwriting Intern to gain direct experience with our underwriting teams. You will work alongside experienced professionals, contribute to active projects, and build practical skills for your future career. This is a paid, full-time summer position.
What you'll do#
- Partner with underwriters to review insurance submissions and evaluate risks.
- Learn the fundamentals of risk assessment, pricing, and underwriting strategy.
- Organize underwriting information, update records, and maintain accurate data.
- Research industry trends, emerging risks, and market insights to share with the team.
- Participate in team projects, meetings, and daily coordination.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program, preferably in Risk Management, Business Administration, or Finance.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- A basic understanding of insurance principles is a plus.

- This is an on-site role based in Chicago, Illinois.
- The internship term is Summer 2027.
- This position is paid at $22.00 per hour.
