About the role#
Howden Re is hiring an Actuarial Analyst Intern to join our quantitative, client-facing team. This role focuses on property and casualty reserve solutions and capital modeling. You will work within a team that values ownership and collaboration. This is a full-time, paid internship.
What you'll do#
- Create and execute P&C reserve solutions, including client submissions and loss portfolio transfers.
- Develop capital modeling analysis.
- Manipulate data using spreadsheets and database applications.
- Prepare client-ready presentations to communicate analysis results to brokers and clients.
- Gain an understanding of reinsurance contracts, product terminology, and terms and conditions.
- Manage your own workflow and contribute to internal projects.
What you'll need#
- Active pursuit of a bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or Economics.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Strong attention to detail.
