About the role#
As a Reinsurance Broker Intern, you will gain experience in the reinsurance industry. You will learn about risk mitigation, contract negotiation, portfolio management, and decision-making processes. You will work both independently and as part of a team to support our client initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Assist with reinsurance placements and related client initiatives.
- Track reinsurance placements throughout their lifecycle.
- Create client marketing materials.
- Perform risk analysis and financial modeling.
- Complete market research and analysis.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program majoring in Risk Management, Insurance, Finance, Mathematics, Accounting, or Economics.
- A GPA of 3.5 or higher.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to communicate ideas clearly in writing and in person.
- Capability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship.
- Work is on-site in New York, New York, or Edina, Minnesota.
- This position follows a rolling term.
