About the role#
As a Systems Developer intern with the Pension Application Development team, you will contribute to the delivery of front-end and back-end builds. You will work alongside experienced developers and technical leads to implement solutions, manage CI/CD pipelines, and support production-ready deployments. This role provides hands-on experience with enterprise development practices within an Agile environment.
What you'll do#
- Implement front-end and back-end features for pension applications.
- Contribute to build and release pipeline activities, including reviewing steps, supporting execution, and troubleshooting failures.
- Assist with application deployments across environments and validate that builds are deployed successfully.
- Help automate smoke, regression, and integration testing for front-end and back-end changes.
- Participate in Agile team ceremonies such as Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Use Azure DevOps to track tasks, build progress, and delivery work.
- Document implementation steps, test results, and build outcomes.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a University or College coop program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Familiarity with at least one programming language such as C#, Java, or JavaScript.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in an Agile team environment.
- Interest in software development, DevOps, or release engineering.
