About the role#
This is a Private Equity Analyst internship with HOOPP Capital Partners. You will work with Senior Associates and other professionals to generate ideas, evaluate investments, and execute transactions. This role provides exposure to direct, co-investment, and fund investment opportunities across various geographic markets and capital structures.
What you'll do#
- Assist in due diligence for potential direct, co-investment, and fund opportunities.
- Prepare materials detailing the investment merits and risks of potential deals.
- Develop financial, valuation, and returns analyses for public and private companies.
- Create investment presentations and documents for committee discussions.
- Monitor the ongoing performance of portfolio companies and fund portfolios.
- Analyze industry and market data while supporting internal strategy projects.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an undergraduate program focused on business, finance, accounting, economics, mathematics, or computer science.
- A track record of academic achievement and leadership experience in extracurriculars.
- Strong analytical skills, a solid foundation in finance, and a high level of attention to detail.
- Excellent communication abilities and a strong work ethic.
- Familiarity with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Prior internship experience in investment banking, private equity, or asset management is an asset.
