About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in marketing, public involvement, and employee engagement. You will support the team with content creation, multimedia production, and administrative tasks for transportation and infrastructure projects across Ohio. This is a full-time, paid summer role that requires on-site work. Please note that relocation and housing assistance are not provided.
What you'll do#
- Develop communication materials such as newsletters, presentations, fact sheets, and social media content.
- Create visual assets including graphics, photography, and short videos.
- Visit project sites and company events to capture photos, video footage, and employee stories.
- Interview project team members to build storytelling packages regarding community impact and career experiences.
- Research communication trends and community engagement strategies.
- Collaborate with marketing and project teams on campaigns and special projects.
- Assist with administrative tasks like preparing reports, editing documents, and managing project content.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Graphic Design, English, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience creating content for social media, student publications, or similar platforms.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud tools like InDesign, Illustrator, or Photoshop.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks independently and meet deadlines.
- Candidates are encouraged to include a portfolio or writing samples with their application.

- Locations: Columbus, OH; Cleveland, OH; or Blue Ash, OH.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: The pay range for this role in Ohio is $19.12 to $28.68 per hour, depending on experience and location.
