About the role#
This summer internship offers hands-on experience in site investigation and remediation. You will work alongside professional staff and receive guidance from a dedicated mentor to help with career planning and technical skill development. The program includes a 40-hour safety training course provided by the company. You will also join a cohort of interns to build your professional network and present to the executive leadership team at the end of the summer.
What you'll do#
- Participate in field safety and safe work practices.
- Collect media samples including soil, groundwater, surface water, and vapor.
- Oversee environmental drilling and excavation projects.
- Conduct due diligence reconnaissance.
- Review and interpret technical data.
- Prepare reports for client projects.
- Perform sampling or testing as directed.
- Transport equipment, specimens, or documents to laboratories, field sites, or offices.
- Assist with equipment set-up and provide general support to professional staff.
- Travel for day trips or overnight stays as required.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma.
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor of Science program in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Biology, or a similar field.
