About the role#
The Construction Co-Op program introduces students to office and field operations within the commercial construction industry. You will work alongside project managers, superintendents, and consulting professionals to understand how a project moves from design to completion. This role is based in Warren, New Jersey, for the Summer 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Learn and interpret project design drawings and specifications.
- Document site progress through photographs.
- Manage the submittal process and maintain submittal logs.
- Assist with the preparation and processing of Request for Information (RFI) logs.
- Collaborate on weekly meeting minutes for project stakeholders.
- Prepare daily reports summarizing site activities.
- Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and quality walkthroughs.
- Review weekly safety audits with the Superintendent.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited degree program for civil engineering, construction management, or a related architectural or engineering field.
- A genuine interest in construction management and the industry.
- Strong business writing and public presentation skills.
- Proficiency in, or a willingness to learn, construction software applications.
- Excellent mathematical, problem-solving, and relationship management skills.
- A proactive, curious, and innovative mindset.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
- Exceptional personal work habits.

- Compensation: This is a paid position.
