About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in radiographic imaging procedures. You will work under the supervision of a technologist to perform technical tasks and assist with patient care. This role requires independent judgment and initiative while you build your clinical skills.
What you'll do#
- Position patients and select the correct anatomic and technical parameters for imaging.
- Prepare for procedures and assist physicians during imaging.
- Manage all required documentation, including billing protocols and regulatory paperwork.
- Implement radiation protection and safety standards.
- Attend to patient comfort and needs to keep the department running efficiently.
- Maintain adequate supplies for the section.
- Prepare contrast media or medications within your scope of practice.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment and good standing in a radiology technologist program.
- Ability to follow ethical and legal standards.
- Adherence to the company code of business conduct and all data security policies.
