About the role#
The Radiology Technologist Intern performs radiographic imaging procedures at a technical level under the supervision of a technologist. This role requires the use of independent judgment and initiative to complete technical procedures up to the level of documented competency.
What you'll do#
- Position patients and select accurate anatomic and technical parameters for imaging.
- Prepare for and assist physicians during imaging procedures.
- Complete all required documentation, including regulatory, billing, and image distribution protocols.
- Implement radiation protection and safety standards.
- Assist the Radiology Technologist by attending to patient comforts and needs, expediting patient flow, and documenting clinical information.
- Maintain adequate supplies to ensure efficient department operations.
- Assist in the preparation of contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice.
