About the role#
The Radiology Technologist Intern provides support for radiographic imaging procedures under the supervision of a technologist. This casual position requires the ability to exercise independent judgment and initiative while assisting with technical procedures and patient care.
What you'll do#
- Position patients and select accurate anatomic and technical parameters for imaging procedures.
- Assist physicians and Radiology Technologists with imaging tasks and patient care needs.
- Maintain radiation protection and safety standards throughout all procedures.
- Document clinical information and complete necessary paperwork for billing, regulatory requirements, and image distribution.
- Manage department supplies to ensure efficient operations.
- Prepare contrast media or medications as permitted within the scope of practice and applicable regulations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment and good standing in a radiology technologist program.
- Ability to follow safety protocols and maintain patient confidentiality.
