About the role#
We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Intern to join our team in Longueuil. This role is a rolling internship opportunity. You will work in a hybrid capacity, contributing to production processes and continuous improvement initiatives within our aerospace manufacturing environment.
What you'll do#
- Build and maintain a database for tracking non-conformities in the assembly and painting departments.
- Provide feedback to the production team regarding non-conformity reports.
- Assist operational managers with their daily tasks and project monitoring.
- Track and improve production performance indicators.
- Manage updates to operational instructions.
- Solve industrial problems as they arise.
- Take part in continuous improvement workshops.
- Help technical specialists document customer returns and supplier non-conformities.
- Update technical documentation and training materials.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Logistics.
- Current enrollment in a college diploma (DEC) program in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Aeronautical Construction, or Aircraft Maintenance.
- Fluency in both English and French, as you will communicate with international suppliers, clients, and auditors.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a strong emphasis on Excel.
- Strong analytical skills and a resourceful approach to problem-solving.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing methodologies is an asset.
