About the role#
Heidelberg Materials is hiring a Corporate Real Estate Intern to support our portfolio management team. This role offers hands-on experience in the building materials industry, focusing on our concrete, asphalt, aggregates, and recycled materials facilities. You will work directly with our staff to manage land assets and ensure operational compliance.
What you'll do#
- Support the management of our real estate portfolio.
- Assist with lease reviews, permit tracking, and coordination with contractors and consultants.
- Shadow our Environmental, Land, and Safety Managers to understand compliance practices.
- Audit and update our Land Information Systems to maintain accurate records.
- Engage with local agencies to review ordinances, plans, and reports.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college degree program for Real Estate, Finance, Civil Engineering, or Environmental Engineering.
- Strong organizational, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Experience with AutoCAD is a plus.
- Interest in the mining and aggregates sector.
Location & details#
- This position is based on-site in Irving, Texas.
- This is a full-time, paid internship.
- Candidates must have a valid driver license, personal transportation, and housing in the DFW area for the duration of the internship.
