About the role#
Heidelberg Materials is hiring a Concrete Intern to support plant operations in Houston. This is a full-time, paid, on-site role. You will work in a mix of office and field environments, which requires the ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and wear personal protective equipment. You may be exposed to various weather conditions.
What you'll do#
- Support plant operations to meet production goals.
- Partner with engineers, managers, and production staff across multiple departments.
- Complete technical projects to build your understanding of daily operations.
- Learn the specific missions of the production, maintenance, and quality departments.
- Ensure all work complies with company policies and health, safety, and environmental regulations.
What you'll need#
- You are a current junior or senior pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Business Administration, Architecture, or a related field.
- Strong problem-solving, strategic thinking, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and a high level of work ethic.
- Ability to motivate teams and manage multiple projects at once.

- Location: Houston, Texas.
- Pay: $25.00 per hour.
- Term: Rolling.
