About the role#
Heidelberg Materials is hiring a Safety Intern for the summer of 2026. This full-time, paid position is based on-site in Nazareth, Pennsylvania. You will work in both office and field settings at an industrial site, where you will be exposed to operational equipment and outdoor conditions. We provide all required personal protective equipment.
What you'll do#
- Support site safety audits and inspections to find improvement opportunities.
- Help develop and deliver safety training materials.
- Take part in incident investigations and assist with corrective actions.
- Analyze safety data to contribute to reporting and compliance efforts.
- Work with teams to promote a strong safety culture across operations.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Health Administration, Public Health, or a related field.
- You are a rising Junior or Senior.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- You can work independently and as part of a team.
- Interest in applying safety principles in an industrial environment.
