About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to apply your academic studies in a practical setting. You will work on-site at a quarry or aggregate site, gaining exposure to both office and field operations. The role involves supporting plant production goals and collaborating with engineers, managers, and production staff.
What you'll do#
- Support plant operations to meet production targets.
- Complete technical projects to understand how a quarry or aggregate site functions.
- Learn the specific missions of the production, maintenance, and quality departments.
- Ensure all work complies with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Participate in assigned project work in the field.
What you'll need#
- Current junior or senior standing in a Mining Engineering or Geology degree program.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and motivate team members.
- Strong problem-solving, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Flexibility and openness to change.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand and walk for long periods, and perform manual labor.

- Compensation: $25.00 per hour.
