Marketing and Communications Internship

About the role#

HealthCorps is seeking a Marketing and Communications Intern to support regional efforts in promoting health and wellness programs. This role is designed for students interested in nonprofit storytelling, community outreach, and public health. You will serve as a key member of the regional team, helping to elevate the mission by connecting students, educators, and community members to program initiatives through digital content, event promotion, and strategic communication.

What you'll do#

• Support content collection and storytelling projects for social media, newsletters, and digital communications.
• Visit local school sites weekly to capture stories and content from student programs.
• Help manage regional social media channels, including content creation, publishing, and monitoring engagement.
• Assist in the development of communications materials such as emails, newsletters, presentations, and promotional flyers.
• Support the promotion and execution of regional events, including pre-event outreach and post-event storytelling.
• Track engagement analytics and assist in reporting on the performance of marketing efforts.
• Collaborate with regional staff and fellow interns to align on messaging and storytelling strategies.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Health, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Applied understanding of basic marketing principles.
• Familiarity with major social media platforms.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic photography, image, and video editing skills.
• Graphic design skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to travel to assigned sites within the Phoenix area.

• Compensation: This is a paid internship offering a stipend. College credit is available depending on university requirements.
