HealthCorps is seeking a Marketing and Communications Intern to support regional efforts in Oklahoma City. This role focuses on elevating the mission of improving youth health and wellness through storytelling, digital content, and community engagement. You will collaborate with regional staff and fellow interns to create materials that connect students, educators, and community partners to HealthCorps programs. This is a part-time, hybrid position requiring approximately 8 hours per week throughout the 2026–2027 academic year.
What you'll do#
- Support content collection and storytelling projects for digital communications, including social media, newsletters, and websites.
- Manage regional social media channels, specifically Instagram and TikTok, by creating content and monitoring engagement.
- Visit local school sites weekly to capture stories and content from student clubs.
- Assist with the development of communications materials for stakeholders, such as email updates, presentations, and announcements.
- Create and update marketing collateral, including flyers, posters, and event signage.
- Support the promotion and execution of regional events through digital outreach and storytelling.
- Track engagement analytics and assist in reporting on the impact of marketing efforts.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Health, Business Administration, Media Studies, or a related field.
- Applied understanding of basic marketing principles and familiarity with major social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube).
- Proficiency in graphic design and basic photography, image, and video editing skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with tools like Canva, social media management platforms, or Adobe Creative Cloud is considered a plus.
Location & details#
- Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
- Modality: Hybrid (requires travel to local sites up to 40 miles within Oklahoma City).
- Compensation: Paid via a learning stipend; college credit is available depending on university requirements.
- Commitment: 8+ hours per week for the 2026–2027 academic year.
