About the role#
HealthCorps is seeking a Marketing & Communications Intern to support regional efforts in San Diego. This role focuses on storytelling, community engagement, and promoting health and wellness programs for youth. You will serve as a key member of the regional team, collaborating with staff and other interns to elevate the organization's mission through digital content, event promotion, and outreach materials.
What you'll do#
- Support content collection and storytelling projects for digital communications, newsletters, and websites.
- Assist with the development of communications materials, including email drafts, presentations, and promotional messaging.
- Help manage regional social media channels, including Instagram and TikTok, by creating content and monitoring engagement.
- Support the promotion and execution of regional events through outreach campaigns and on-site documentation.
- Track engagement analytics and assist in monthly reporting to assess the performance of marketing efforts.
- Create and update marketing collateral such as flyers, posters, and event signage.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Health, or Business Administration.
- Applied understanding of basic marketing principles.
- Familiarity with major social media platforms including Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic photography, image, and video editing skills.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Office Suite applications such as Excel and Outlook.
Location & details#
- Location: San Diego, California.
- Term: Fall 2026 (Academic year 2026-2027).
- Work Modality: Hybrid.
- Commitment: 8 hours per week.
- Compensation: Paid via stipend; college credit is available.
