About the role#
This is a paid, full-time Tax Internship for Summer 2027 based in Fort Worth, Texas. You will gain hands-on experience by preparing federal and multi-state income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts. You will work alongside firm professionals, a dedicated buddy, and a performance manager to build your technical and professional skills.
What you'll do#
- Prepare income tax returns and related work papers.
- Manage projects to meet engagement timelines and budget goals.
- Learn and use firm tax preparation software.
- Perform self-reviews of your work to ensure accuracy.
- Conduct tax technical research as assigned by supervisors.
- Build professional relationships within the firm.
- Participate in company training sessions and team activities.
What you'll need#
- You are on track to complete a bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting or taxation between December 2027 and May 2028.
- You have a minimum overall and accounting GPA of 3.0.
- You are an active member of Beta Alpha Psi or a similar campus accounting organization.
- You have strong technical aptitude and clear communication skills.
- You demonstrate leadership through sound judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making.
- You are detail-oriented, able to multi-task, and comfortable taking initiative.
- You maintain a positive attitude and work well in a team.
Location & details#
- This role is based in Fort Worth, Texas.
- The position follows a hybrid work model with in-office days on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.
- You must be available to work 40 hours per week from mid-June through mid-August 2027.
