About the role#
HCVT is hiring for a Tax Internship for the Summer 2027 term. This is a paid, full-time position based in Salt Lake City, Utah, operating under a hybrid work model.
What you'll do#
- Prepare federal and multi-state income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts, along with related work papers.
- Complete projects according to engagement timelines and budget guidelines.
- Learn and use firm tax preparation software to support client service quality.
- Perform self-reviews of your work.
- Conduct tax technical research as assigned by supervisors.
- Participate in firm training, activities, and professional development sessions with your assigned buddy and manager.
What you'll need#
- You are on track to complete a bachelor's or master's degree in accounting or taxation between December 2027 and July 2028.
- A minimum overall and accounting GPA of 3.0.
- Strong technical aptitude and effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Leadership skills that demonstrate judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week from mid-June through mid-August.
