Tax Internship

About the role#

HCVT is offering a full-time Tax Internship for the Summer 2027 term. This position provides exposure to tax services for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts. Interns work alongside firm professionals to develop technical skills and gain experience in a professional accounting environment.

What you'll do#

• Prepare federal and multi-state income tax returns and related work papers.
• Complete projects according to engagement timelines and budget guidelines.
• Utilize firm tax preparation software to support client service quality.
• Perform self-reviews of work and conduct tax technical research as assigned.
• Participate in firm training, activities, and professional development sessions with a dedicated buddy and performance manager.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting or taxation, with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and July 2028.
• Minimum overall and accounting GPAs of 3.0.
• Strong technical aptitude and effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Leadership qualities including sound judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• High attention to detail and ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities.

Location & details#

• Location: Salt Lake City, Utah.
• Term: Summer 2027 (Mid-June through Mid-August).
• Commitment: Full-time (40 hours per week).
• Modality: Hybrid work model.
• Status: Paid internship.
