About the role#
Boulay is hiring a Tax Intern for our Mankato office for the Winter 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid position running from January through April. You will work directly with our tax team to support individual and business clients. We provide in-depth training, direct mentorship, and a dedicated buddy to help you settle into the firm.
What you'll do#
- Prepare income tax returns, including individual, partnership, multistate, and corporate filings.
- Assist with quarterly tax planning.
- Handle inquiries from Federal and State taxing authorities.
- Complete tax research projects.
- Take on additional special projects as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor or master degree program in accounting.
- Progress toward 150 credit hours.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA with a strong academic record.
- Completion of intermediate accounting coursework.
- Completion of tax or audit coursework by the start of the internship.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- A desire to learn, grow professionally, and work as part of a team.

- This role is based on-site in Mankato, Minnesota.
- The internship is a full-time commitment from January to April 2027.
- This position is paid at $28.00 per hour.
