About the role#
HCVT is hiring for a Winter 2027 Audit Internship in Long Beach. This is a full-time, paid position. You will work within a hybrid model, balancing time between remote work and the office based on team needs. Please note that HCVT does not provide work authorization sponsorship for this role.
What you'll do#
- Assist engagement teams with documenting and executing audit procedures.
- Complete projects while meeting established timelines and budget guidelines.
- Identify and communicate potential audit issues to your team.
- Provide regular status updates to seniors, managers, and partners.
- Maintain a professional demeanor when working with clients and firm staff.
- Perform self-reviews of your work to ensure accuracy.
- Use firm audit software to support client service quality.
- Participate in firm trainings, recruiting events, and team activities.
- Collaborate with your assigned buddy and performance manager on professional development.
What you'll need#
- You are on track to finish a bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting or taxation between May 2027 and June 2028.
- You have a minimum overall and accounting GPA of 3.0.
- You are an active member of Beta Alpha Psi or a similar campus accounting organization.
- You possess strong technical aptitude and clear communication skills.
- You demonstrate leadership through sound judgment and problem-solving.
- You are available to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from early January through mid-April.
