Audit Internship - Winter 2027

About the role#

HCVT is seeking an Audit Intern for the Winter 2027 term. This full-time, paid internship provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in public accounting by assisting engagement teams with audit procedures and client service.

What you'll do#

• Assist engagement teams in documenting and executing audit procedures according to engagement objectives.
• Complete assigned projects within established timelines and budget guidelines.
• Identify and communicate potential audit issues to the engagement team.
• Provide timely status updates to seniors, managers, and partners.
• Maintain professional standards while interacting with clients and firm professionals.
• Utilize firm audit software and participate in internal training and firm activities.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting or taxation, with an expected graduation date between May 2027 and June 2028.
• Minimum overall and accounting GPAs of 3.0.
• Active membership in Beta Alpha Psi or a similar campus accounting organization.
• Strong technical aptitude and effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize responsibilities, and maintain high attention to detail.

• Location: Long Beach, California.
• Term: Winter 2027 (early January through mid-April).
• Work Modality: Hybrid.
