About the role#
The Business and Social Sciences division is seeking a Student Aide to provide administrative and operational support. This role involves assisting students, faculty, and staff with daily tasks and special projects to ensure the smooth functioning of the department.
What you'll do#
- Perform reception duties, including greeting visitors and students at the front desk.
- Answer phones and manage student intake or check-in processes.
- Schedule appointments and provide directions to visitors.
- Handle general office tasks such as data entry and making copies.
- Assist with special projects as assigned by the division.
What you'll need#
- Must be a current Harper College student registered for at least 6 credit hours during the fall and spring semesters. For summer sessions, you must be registered for at least 3 credit hours or at least 6 credit hours for the upcoming fall semester.
- Eligibility for English 097 or higher.
- General office or customer service experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
Location & details#
- Location: Palatine, Illinois.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Up to 20 hours per week, with availability required between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
