About the role#
Harmony United Psychiatric Care is hiring a Psychotherapist Intern to join our outpatient clinic network. This role involves providing care to adults, adolescents, and children aged five and older. You will work as an independent contractor with the flexibility to set your own hours. We offer a mix of in-person visits in Port Orange and virtual appointments through our telehealth platform. You may work up to 50% remotely from the start.
What you'll do#
- Conduct psychological assessments, provide diagnoses, and deliver therapeutic interventions.
- Offer various modalities of psychotherapy and counseling services.
- Coordinate with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare providers.
- Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions and coping strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all services in line with company policies.
- Keep your clinical skills current through ongoing professional development.
What you'll need#
- A Master's degree in mental health counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy.
- An active Florida Intern license or proof that you are in the process of obtaining one.
- Previous experience in an outpatient setting is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Port Orange, Florida.
- Compensation: $35 to $40 per billable hour.
- Work Modality: On-site and remote options are available.
- Schedule: You determine your own hours. Our offices are open Monday through Thursday for in-person and telehealth visits, with additional telemedicine availability Friday through Sunday.
