About the role#
Harmony United Psychiatric Care is hiring a Psychotherapist Intern for our outpatient clinic in Port St Lucie. This is a full-time, paid position operating on a rolling basis. You will work on-site as an independent contractor, providing mental health services to adults, adolescents, and children aged five and older.
What you'll do#
- Conduct psychological assessments, diagnose conditions, and deliver therapeutic interventions.
- Offer various modalities of psychotherapy and counseling.
- Work alongside a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists and social workers.
- Provide psychoeducation to patients and their families regarding mental health and treatment strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of services in line with company policy.
- Stay current with professional developments in the field.
What you'll need#
- A master’s degree in mental health counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy.
- An active Florida Intern license or proof that you are in the process of obtaining one.
- Previous work experience in an outpatient setting is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Port St Lucie, Florida.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $35 to $40 per billable hour.
- Schedule: Independent contractors determine their own hours. Offices are open Monday through Thursday for in-person and telehealth visits, with additional telemedicine availability Friday through Sunday.
